Now that you’ve given your life to Jesus and followed Him in baptism, what’s next? Discipleship—the lifelong journey of becoming more like Christ. But here’s the beautiful truth: You were never meant to walk this path alone.
Jesus didn’t call isolated believers—He built a church (Matthew 16:18). The early Christians didn’t just "pray a prayer" and go their own way. They lived life together, growing in faith as one family:
"All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer." (Acts 2:42, NLT)
You need the church, and the church needs you. Here’s why:
1. Find a Bible-Teaching Church
Not just a Sunday service—a family where you can:
✔ Hear God’s Word faithfully taught
✔ Build real relationships
✔ Serve and be served
"Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another..." (Hebrews 10:24-25, NLT)
Find someone in your church further along in faith who can:
✅ Answer your questions
✅ Help you avoid mistakes they’ve made
✅ Challenge you to go deeper
You don’t have to be "perfect" to help others follow Jesus. Share:
Discipleship isn’t a program—it’s a daily walk with Jesus and His people. There will be highs and lows, but you’ll never walk alone.
Your next step?
➡ Commit to a local church this week
➡ Join a small group (ask your pastor how)
➡ Find one person to learn from and one to encourage
"Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives." (Colossians 3:16, NLT)
